This is truly spectacular setting. I mean, I'm dreaming of finding a place like this to take pictures of. Although I must say, even if I could get to a place like this, I'm not sure I could get a shot like this one. This picture is absolutely spectacular. The balance and depth is really well planned, and the lighting is just incredible. Not to mention the level of detail, too. All-around good shot.
The balance is most noticeable in the positioning of the light sources. The major band is through the top-middle area, creating a very visually stunning background. The contras of light and dark in the windows in the middle wall is my favourite part, and I like how you transitioned from foreground to background using right to left. It's hard to explain what I mean, but it's a good angle. Also, the far background is perfectly laid out – the tiny visible building (abandoned as well?) really adds to the shot, as does the sky. The left side of the shot has a really cool level of detail in the debris that is lying around.
If I was to make a suggestion, I would say that it would have been a good idea to capture a bit of wall on the far left, way at the back. The reason I say this is because there is a bit of wally surrounding every other edge of the outside, except for there, so it looks a little wrong to me.
Ahh, perfect! Just perfect! the composition, the tone of the sepia effect, the contrast and the light, you did an amazing job in giving out the feeling you also express with the title! One can just think about apocalypse, so a day with no tomorrow, watching at this one! Beautiful work!
